Raw material

The raw material is top quality naturally grown Scots Pine (Pinus Sylvestris) from Finland and Sweden. The length of the poles is mostly between 7-22 metres. Every tree has been selected before felling to fulfil the high quality standards applied. In special cases and if specifically required by the customer, we have access to other species as well.

The timber is procured in forests under sustainable management and most of the timber comes from PEFC-certified stands in Scandinavia.

After debarking, the poles are, again, sorted to comply with the standards. The most common national standards are: BS (British), DIN (German), NF (French) and ANSI (US). Often a special customer specification is applied as well.
